Beer Bread Recipe

I realize this is completely unrelated to tea but I figured I would post it here since I've had quite a few requests for this recipe in the past. The great thing about beer bread is that it tastes completely different depending on what type of beer is used. I highly recommend experimenting with different types of beer. I personally love using a quadrupel Belgium beer. Yums! At some point I will have take some pictures of my oh so famous beer bread.

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 ounces of your favorite beer
1/4 cup melted margarine/vegan butter

1. Preheat oven to 375F. Lightly grease a 9X5 baking pan.

2. Mix all the dry ingredients.
3. Pour the beer in & mix until moistened. Transfer to baking pan.
4. Top with melted vegan butter
5. Bake 45-55 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
